8:00 AM DAY 1 - MARRAKECH, OURZAZATE, ZAGORA
Departing is expected to be in the morning. During the journey we will pass through the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m), a mountain crossing the High Atlas, in order to reach the Kasbag Ait Ben Haddou, nominated as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will then move to the cinematographic studios of Ouarzazate where several world-renowned movies were filmed such as ”The Mummy,” ”Gladiator,” ”Asterix and Obelix,” ”Alexander,” ”Troy,” ”Babel,”…
After having lunch and taking a break, we will continue our tour southward following the High Atlas Mountains and crossing the Draa Valley, finally reaching Zagora in the late afternoon. Once here we will have the opportunity to walk on dromedaries and later reach the dunes just in time to admire a magnificent sunset. Overnight stay is planned in a camp in the middle of the desert, dinner and lodging will be offered in a ”haima.
6:00 AM DAY 2 - ZAGORA - MARRAKECH
On the second day we will wake up very early, a small sacrifice to see one of the most beautiful sights of this experience: sunrise in the desert. After a good breakfast we will return to Zagora by camel, and then move in a 4×4 vehicle back to Marrakech. On the way back there will be several stops to admire the stunning landscapes and views of Morocco. Later we will have a drink together. The return to Marrakech is scheduled in the evening.
